Q: This may seem like a kind of a dumb question for some people, but I am having some serious problems trying to open my hard disk enclosure. It is a 3.5 “USB 2.0 Aluminum Super Slim Hard Drive Enclosure.

Best Answer: The one I've got has 2 screws on the faceplate. The connectors are attached to the faceplate. After connecting the 4 pin power connector and the IDE connector, I just inserted everything into the case opening. I screwed the faceplate and it was done.

Re:I had the same problem with an old buslink USB enclosure. Took out every screw I could find, case still wouldn't budge. Never did get the damn thing out.

Re:I don't know about that specific one but a lot of enclosures that were from OEMs have screws underneath warranty stickerts.
