Best Answer: search on google for a program called cpuID
it's a free program that will show what processor, ram and cpu you're running.
it'll also display the make and model of the motherboard

Re:Open the case and look on the motherboard for a brand and model #. This may not be easy if you have an offbrand board or a board made for Dell or Gateway because major manufacturers usually hide their names when they make the "generic" boards, but on most new major brand boards, it should be quite obvious. If it is not, look around the last ISA or PCI slot, near the edge of the board farthest from the processor…the model # is usually the one with a Rev #.# written beside it and it will usually start with letters. Type that number into a search engine and see what comes up.
