Q: Hi,
Anybody has a Hercules 9600 Pro, 9600 XT or 9800 Pro or non-pro card. Is the fan on these cards a 80mm fan or smaller? Stated that is exactly card you have. Do they always use the same fan for all these recent cards by the way?
If It is a small fan, not to make a kind of whinning, high-pitched noise or something, typical of the smaller fans? I suppose it is not easy for the fan with a Zalman ZM-ZM80C + HP-01P for example, because you all heat sinks to eliminate any risk map to destroy them, or is this card not ring if it is?
Fact replaces, is I want my PC shut cause I keep also do audio recording, so I want to make sure this card is inaudible, or perhaps you can fan with a replace a quieter (like from Zalman) 0.

Re:it's a 50 or 60mm I think. It doesn't make any kind of high-pitched noise and cools quite well as it's cooper based cooling.

Re:Using Hercules 9700Pro. Cooling is very silent <25db. I'm not sure if you can change the cooling since (at least 9700pro) has heatsinks in mem chips and in the back of the core.

Re:Plain 9600 cards usually do not have a fan at all. 9600pro does not need much airflow either, fans on those are very quiet.

Re:40mm fan on video cards is pretty much standard now [Except some 9800xt and 5900fx cards that have 60mm fans-80mm low profile fans] I would say that they are pretty much silent inside a case. But then again im the guy with 14 case fans in my system
