Q: I usually have 27, I know the couple from EAX, ATI, etc. . REAL but I still think there are more things going on than should be, my question is this: once you have a clean install, how many processes will be there? ![]()
Best Answer: This is not exactly what you are looking for, but automating the pushing of the OK button might work:
[1]:
PTFB (Push The Freakin' Button). On page two of the source is a link to the last freeware version of this program.
[2]:
Write your own AutoHotkey script to push the button.
Below is an example. Note: AutoHotkey uses the window title ('application failed to launch' in the example). This title is case sensitive.
Example:
#SingleInstance,Force
#Persistent
loop {
WinWaitActive, application failed to launch
ControlClick, OK, application failed to launch
}
Re:29 w/ task manager running.
Re:Sixteen …services stripped down to a minimum w/themes …No AV active …No networking …ZA Pro active …three startup programs …ZA …scheduler(startup cleaner) and a startup cleaner so I can delete .dat files when I want to. 862 MB RAM free (out of a GB of RAM) at startup. Yeah, unused RAM is "wasted" RAM …but I've got plenty of it available when I need to use it, ie. lots of browser windows, file copying and file moving and applications. It doesn't stay unused for long, but I like alot of horsepower on tap.
Re:32 with a few programs running.
Re:I get 16 after eliminating Antivir, Firefox, Netpersec, Asus Probe, Trillian, and the task manager.
Re:20
Download the zipped pdf file listed below and find out what services you can disable.
