How much is too much (on a 1GHz clock Thunderbird) [gigabyt] [1ghz athlon]

Q: All I am willing to do it now, the FSB setting. It is currently 110, but I am cautious about taking too much higher than that (mostly Ive heard bad things about the PCI bus will not go higher than 37mhz. Everyone has some experience with FSB modification? What can I take without damaging components, or is the only thing I worry about instability? I would like to be able to push up to 120 FSB.

the specs are a Thunderbird on a Gigabyte GA-7ZX-1 mobo (KT133 chipset)

Re:u need a kt133a or ddr mobo :)

Re:I have been running my system fsb as high as posible since the day the t-birds came I have had around 15 diff boards in this system and all my pci cards are working just fine. so dont worry and crank it up.

Re:Too much is when it won't POST. Just kepp going until it crashes too much.

Re:I doubt you'll be able to get the FSB much higher….I too would recommend getting another MB or just unlock the L1's and set the birdy free :)

Re:You'll hit instability before you do any damage, so crank it until it starts crashing. Personally I'd try to pick up a KT133A board, then you don't have to worry about out of spec buses until 133 MHz. 1 GHz @ 1.4+ is a very nice overclock.
