Q: I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight Artic Silver epoxy could hold, when they are between a GPU and heatsink / fan? Im thinking about making a sk-6 on my vid card . dunno if that would work though.

Re:Post some pictures of it when you are done, or you can email them to me at mrman_3k@msn.com
Thanks
Re:I'm just putting it on there so it looks cool.

Re:btw even if your GPU has the best cooling out there if your RAM has nothing on it you wouldn't get much better results with just the stock cooling solution.
Re:Just out of curiosity, why would you wanna put that big a heatsink on a gfx card?
The processor won't go anywhere near high enough to stress an SK-6.
Just settle for an old Pentium heatsink or something, heat isnt the primary reason why graphics chips cant go higher.
Re:Don't try the trick on the commercial where the construction worker holds onto his helmet glued to a steel I-beam. I'm sure that would be too much
Re:Well I've seen some Sk-6 on those slockets (sock 370 to Slot 1 converters) and they were holding good, but I'm not sure how where they attached. You could always use some extra support by taking advantage of that one PCI slot which you would lose anyways because of the size of sk-6.
