How to format FAT16 and FAT32 partitions and add to ?!? Please advise. [gig hd] [surprise surprise]

Q: I am win2k/ME dual boot with the following partitions (all on a 30 )

c: ME (2 gig)
d: win2k (2 gig)
rd: apps (13 gig)
f: mp3z/files / downloads ( 8 gig)
g: games (5 gig)

ok, so what I did was first format and partion. Then, I installed, but it was a bad install (). Anyways, I went to install win2k (Im going to be determined later ME) and the setup program tells me I have no hard drives .?!?! Im guessing this is because I formatted and partitioned the drives on a FAT32 file system and the set up recgonize all the stations that it could install. buuuuuutttt, I thought win2k was able to install on a FAT 32 .

wth .?

is my problem w / the win2k setup that Im just FAT 32 partitions to add? If so, how can I format and partition, so my win2k partition FAT 16, while the other 4 partitions are FAT 32? Im assuming fdisk will worry, but Im not entirely positive about the order / details that I need to go. Please advise!

Re:whats your mobo?
mostly, you have to press f6 while installing and load the drivers for the IDe controller first

Re:Not is the drive ata100, but is the controller on your motherboard? If so, you need to get the drivers to make them work under win2k and then install them during your install process.

Re:YES, it is an a ATA-100 drive.

Re:When you say that w2k can't recongnise your hdd. You won't be running it on a U66 or U100 controller? Not the primary IDE1+2 on your motherboard??

Re:win2k should be able to install onto a fat32 partition. could you explain what you did again more clearly? im not completely understanding.
