Look, I am not a kid, I don't know were that came from, I am older than you think. Do a google search on me? Come on…

I suggest you see the quote in your original post and drop this thread, continuing to respond is not a good idea.

Why do you guys got to be complete dicks about it and on there side?

Enjoy your vacation.

Re:Do a google search for "DarQ MX". He doesn't just sound like a kid. He IS one. (Duh).

Oh, and Darq MX, it might do you well to realize that people who take sides against you aren't "Dicks". They have a different opinion than you.

And when 90% of the people you're talking to have a different opinion, you may just want to re-evaluate who might or might not be the dick.

Because you're being a child.

I think people have a right to mask themselfs if they want privacy…Sure your can mask yourself with you family friends and any one who accept the rules of your game.

But if you come to my house you have to follow my rules, and I am not taking in strangers that are afraid to ID themselves. I have this right just like you have your right to your privacy in your own home.

Do you own a car or have a phone? Not to mention bank account, CC, or home address.

Re:Originally posted by: guy
not without a valid reason though… Not to mention there was no TOS

boohoo.

Re:Originally posted by: guy

Erm, if you're on my forum, why exactly shouldn't I have the right to ban you for exactly whatever reason I want?

Re:lol, you're on their servers. they can do anything they want.

you're not entitled to anything. And they sure as heck don't need any reason whatsoever.

Re:Originally posted by: guy

Certainly… and the forum owners have the right to ban whoever they want from their forum as well. :)

Re:Originally posted by: guy
I can't contact them I told you that. Also, on that note, I think privacy still is a big deal. Even if it was not for what I was using it for…

If you want THAT much privacy, stop using the internet, credit/atm cards, cell phones, etc.
Privacy is important, it's just that your notion of it is silly.

Privacy is a big deal. Getting around a ban because you were being a wiener isn't.

Re:Originally posted by: guy

Yes, but you aren't trying to mask your IP address for privacy. You are trying to mask your IP address so you can violate a ban that you were given for violating their forum policies.

If it means so much to you to visit that particular forum, try to contact the mods that banned you and ask NICELY to have the ban removed.

Re:Originally posted by: guy

Aside from the fact that this is a pretty silly notion, like spyordie said, it can't be done without using a proxy of some kind.
Sure, you can spoof your ip, but it's not gonna be terribly useful for everyday activities since you'll want to be able to get traffic back, and if you spoofed your IP, how wouold the webserver(or whatever server) know where to send the respone?

Re:I think people have a right to mask themselfs if they want privacy…

Re:Actually, that link is the best honest help you're going to get here about how to 'mask' yourself. Many of the regulars here are network administrators and other IT professionals that will not help you break the rules that our peers have worked hard to establish.

You were banned from the site for violating their rules and you either need to wait out your ban and stop doing things that will likely get you banned permanently (making new accounts), or just not visit those forums any more.

I ant clicking on that… heh

It was actually quite funny, but in either case, read spyordie's post and think about it :)

I was wondering where that was gonna lead :D

Re:Actually this is a better question for networking. The short of it is that you can only alter the appearance of your IP by having the traffic sent through a proxy.

Very simplified explaination:
1. Your computer sends a message to the address of the server.
2. Server responds to the address of your computer.

Think about it for a minute ;)
