Q: post system specs and graphics settings you used. Curious if anyone with a GF4 Ti4200 128MB and how they work / look at.
Re:My son's rig is the following:
1.4GHz Thunderbird
128 MB Ti4200
1 Gig 0f 2100 RAM
The game runs fine, much better than Doom3 did.
The game auto-set all the video settings on high.
1024×768 but no AA of AF.
Only a slow down here and there on action sequences.
However, the game looks absolutely phenomenal on my rig using a 128 MB 9800 Pro.
I've posted a few screenshots on my server's forum here. (http://www.xsorbit3.com/users/counterstrikeandafterhours/index.cgi?board=Video_Games…&action=display&num= 1100606350)
Re:i have a ti4200 in my A64 3200+ system. yeah yeah i need a better card
1152 x 864
DX 8
2x aa
2x af
medium details on everything except water is "reflect world"
30-60 FPS. It runs great actually =)
ill put up some SS's here soon
Re:well i went and got it today
medium details at 1024×768. it looks beautiful but speed i'd say can drop down to the 20's in large open areas. playable though. might get a 9800 considering the game came with a $20 rebate for ATI cards…
oh yeah specs
barton 2500xp @ 3200xp
512mb pc3200 sdram
msi ti4200 128mb
Re:looks like I might wait then
Re:Playing it on a 64 MB Ti4200, P4 2.8C, 512MB RAM….plays just fine…a few sputters after saves/loading but other than that it rocks. 1024×768 looks perfectly fine to me, looks better than D3 on my card, even with most of my settings at low.
Hope that helps.
Re:I have a Ti4600 and the graphics suck ass… I am playing on 1024×768, but with everything on low quality. I had it on medium and it was chopy so I had to lower the textures. I can't wait for these damn NF4 SLI boards already, thats whats holding me back from upgrading right now. So till then I have to play this GREAT game with my slow video card
Re:Brother's Ti4400 coming (installing now).
Re:p4 2.53
512 ddr2700
g4ti4200 128
8×6 medium detail. no aa/af. it's very playable, a bit choppy at times.
Re:2500+ OCed to 180Mhz FSB
512MB Ram
9700 Pro 128MB
A7N8X Deluxe
Windows XP Pro SP2
Video Settings: 1280×960, everything else "default"/medium. No AA, trilinear filtering. Medium textures.
Usually runs very well, occasional/rare stuttering problem though. Possibly ram bottleneck there, not sure though.
Re:How about an 8500LE 128MB? I get "Cannot init shader system" when I try to start. Even used the switches for DirectX 7, 8, and 8.1. No luck. Help!!

^Sniper^ — Perhaps you should edit the title/summary to make it more obvious that this thread is seeking those with Ti4200's input.

Re:2100+@2700+ 1Gb ram 9800pro 128mb @XT 1360×1240 noFSAA 8xAF, occasional stutters, but it could have something to do with background downloading.

Re:Abit NF7-S v2.0
Barton 2500 @ 2.6ghz 430mhz fsb,
1 gig (512×2) PC3200 PQI turbo
Radeon 9700 pro
etc etc.
Plays fine on my system.
graphic settings are whatever HL2 recommended. I think AA and AF is on, 1024×768.
Re:Anyone tried this on a T41 and/or a 600M? With all this hoopla … I'm thinking of getting a copy myself!
Re:GF3 Ti200 user here wanting to know if it's playable.
I'd upgrade, but with a KT266A board and an AXP 1700+, I'll probably want to wait until I can do mb/cpu/mem/gfx all at the same time.

A pretty decent step up. However, I'd take a look at the new AGP 6600GT (Review is up, BTW) and the 6800NU.

come on we can't be the only ones using a ti4200
i would get a new card if the 9800 128mb wasn't out of stock everywhere locally!

Obviously, those are just a guide, but might be able to give you any idea of how it might run on your system. The best results, however, will be thru word of mouth. ![]()

Re:We won't know how it runs for another 2 hrs
But I have an AXP 2000+ 512mb ram and an 9600XT and CS: Source hits a min of 30fps and max of 100fps, but averages around 40fps
