Q: Hi guys,
Any of you use or develop HPOV? Everyone is used to e-events / SMS alerts generate? Just wondering.
Any useful sites? I have assumed this task, so any help would be great. Im currently study things.
Can someone help me with a number of perl? I have a script of the play, but I know nothing about perl.

Re:Found your thread on Tech-tips. If you want to send alerts as SMS text messages you should look at SNPP services.
I'll get back to you on the email thing…even thought I shouldn't. You should get BMC Impact Manager, the OV integration and Alarmpoint….

Okay. The perl part is mostly done now. Didn't have to change hardly anything from the scripts that I managed to find. NOw I'll have to configure it to work with HPOV NNM.
HPOV = HP OpenView
NNM = Network Node Manager
HPOV NNM basically monitors status of network devices and you can do a lot of things with it. I'll need to do a few things.
