Q: I just need to run Apache and perhaps ftpserv or similar .
Id like to be able to use at least some lightweight WM like blackbox or anything something.
and packages / binary install support is a plus, because I suck on linux;)

There should be a sticky for what linux distribution to choose. These types of questions are asked like everyday. One of you guys can list what would be the best for certain situations too. Like what is best for servers, old PC's etc.
We tried that. It got unwieldly, but feel free to make a new one.
