Q: I just installed win2000 SP2 (downloaded from Microsoft) and got the following warning from Norton AV (updated 7/18/01). The virus u0026quot; u0026quot, had no name – this is a false alarm?
The file
C: WINNT Java Classes xmldso.cab
was infected with virus.
The file is deleted.
Best Answer: go to http://pcworld.com and search the antivirus downloads, there you will find a few that do an online scan. this way you will find and rid it then you can download an anti virus. you should never run a pc without one.GOOD LUCK.

Re:I know SP1 will do this is you have a virus scanner running while applying. So I feel sure SP2 would as well. It's recommended that you disable virus scanners when applying a SP.
Re:I think sometimes Norton is a little to causious about JAVA stuff.I would try to disable norton and then load the SP2 and if you want run norton after install to make sure,You may need that file that was deleated.
