Q: First of all, I am not banned. I checked.
I thought it was a problem with Windows 98 SE, since I just reformatted and downgraded Windows ME. Ive formatted and reinstalled Windows 98 SE. It still does not work. I ran away fully IEradicate and Internet Explorer, and again from zero. It still does not work. Ive tried using Opera, in case it was a problem with IE in general, and still no go. I have not done again reformat reinstall Windows ME and it does not work! : (I enter my details to log says Thank You for logging, we take you back, etc., etc., but Im not logged into the site I try to login to run the latest version of UBB, as that of any use, but I never had this problem before logging. Can anyone help?

Yeeeeeaaaaah, guy! Plug that baby. ![]()
Re:Whatever is going on apparently only affects me when I try to login at sites using the newer versions of UBB. I try to post the problem in the Forums set up by the software developer InfoPop (http://www.infopop.com) but I cannot post the problem there, because they are running the newest version of UBB.
Re:Still not working. ARGH!
Re:guy here,
So far as I know, ShotgunSteve's problem remains unsolved, so I will bump this question. We both have spent a lot of time trying to solve this one.
I have wondered if it was something that his DSL ISP could be fuxoring up for him. I can't think of anything but it is one of the few things that are similar amongst all his re-formats and reinstalls. Anyone?
Re:Well, the Admin for the site logged in using my account no problem. So something else is wrong. I just upgraded to IE 6.0, and that did not solve the problem either. :disgust:
Re:Well, I signed up and logged in no problem. The version I am having trouble with is UBB 6.04d, though, not 5.37. It does not seem that there would be a problem like this that would develop between the two versions, though.
Re:I will go give it a try, guy. Thanks. Will post back here in a few minutes and let you know.
Re:Steve,
UBB, like most forums, uses a cookie to remember your login. From the sounds of it, I don't think the problem is on your end. More likely, the particular script responsible for the function is fluxored on their end.
If you want to test whether or not your system is working with UBB (and you're not already a member at another UBB forum), you could sign up at mine and try it: http://www.hardwarehottalk.com.
