I have 802.11g wireless help poor [dlink wireless router] [wep keys]

Q: Has anyone here a Dlink DI-524 Wireless Router and DWL-G510 wireless card, if so, I need help, I went from an old Linksys 802.11b router to this 802.11G and now Im trying to improve safety setup to get this thing, everything fits in both the Internet and my network, Im lost on WPA, and the like. I thought you could this router specifically bind to a specific MAC address, I have two wireless machines that now have access but no one else, and I can? T to find something in the setup for this. Also any tips / help would be appreciated if anyone is familiar with this setup because I really need this to lock down wireless access point.

Re:I have this router also, and while I don't know about your specific question, I would steer you to the Dlink web site where they have a great knowledge base for problems. Great info on opeing ports etc for a lot of different games, apps, etc.

Re:From the DI-524 manual: To access the Router Configuration Menu, access it via http://192.168.0.1/ and type in "admin" into the user name field (leave Password blank).

In the Configuration Menu:

To bind the router to a specific MAC address, go to HOME>WAN>Dynamic IP Address->Clone MAC Address (assuming you want to present your ISP a specific MAC address for access).

To allow or deny specific computers via their MAC addresses, go to Advanced>Filters>MAC Filters and enable or disable this function.

Hope this helps.
