i (sort of) messed up my friend's machine [administrator account] [roommate]

Q: After months and months of urging my reformat his machine and upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro He finally did about a week and half ago. When he got to the last screen and asked him for a username I told him that we just could do nothing because he was the and use it to rename. So I typed in “El Senor Happy Pants,” as his account name instead of CJ. Well, I was incredibly wrong . we couldnt name of the (I really thought we could) we also couldnt Delete El Senor Happy Pants and make the only (thought we could do that) So he has since his 0.

account name of El Senor Happy Pants for CJ However, all documents and folders which still say ” El Senor Happy Pants, “for example when he goes to the command prompt to read c: windows users el senor happy pants . idea.

So you get here is the question of all . Does anyone know of a registry entry or app, or something to rename the account completely? Let him CJ, and not El Senor Happy Pants disguised as CJ .

Re:Well I doubt it, just look at the local users section in the Computer Management MMC and just delete the guy from there. You can also re-create him and then add his credentials at this point.

Re:Create a new account then delete his old one?

Re:Seriously… swear to god, we checked that and didnt see it… maybe we just werent looking in the right place… either way, when we were logged in as admin, we didnt have the option to delete the account for some reason, we cant figure out why… who the account being password protected have anything to do with it?

Re:I think it is funny too, but the admin account can be renamed,
Renaming (http://www.auburn.edu/oit/support/employees/security/ht_rename_admin_acct_xp.php)
And if you are logged in as the user in question you won't be able to delete him, but if are the administrator, I assure you can delete whoever you want.
But as far as re-naming account fully, I would just dump that account and start over.

Re:LoL. That's just awesome. ;) Thanks for the laugh. Sorry I'm not being helpful, it's just funny.
