Best Answer: I don't think your going to find anyone that's willing to do this. I know I wouldn't. I like to be able to utilize all of my bandwidth.

Its been a while since I messed with ICS, but I believe you need 2 network cards. It seems pretty funky to not have a second nic, especially when you can get a slow (10mbit) nic for free ;)

Re:Another vote for the Barricade. If you can afford it, consider wireless; being able to roam around with the laptop wherever is a very nice convenience. There are security and distance issues, to be sure, but I find the "laptop goes anywhere" feature awfully compelling.

SMC Barricade. Firewall/Router, easy to setup, and much better than using ICS. If you're really strapped for cash using the spare NIC and ICS is the cheapest way to go, however anytime the ICS machine is down internet access will be down for the other as well.

Many free software firewalls will not work well with ICS. With the barricade you have internet access no matter if one of the computers is down, plus you have a hardware firewall as your first line of defense. I still would use a software or desktop firewall after the SMC. If you ever have plans on adding another computer to the LAN then you're going to need a hub/router anyway, so this just makes room for the future as well.

Don't get me wrong ICS is nice, but it has it's limitations.
