Q: I recently on a deal for a 17 “LCD for $ 164 AR / AC here: http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_itemu0026id=3184
If the link does not work, search for PIOData 17 “LCD.
It s got one solid black pixel in the upper right corner on the size of a period that is visible on a light background.
But it seems a good number of smaller green stuck pixels on the screen. They are not nearly as large as the pixel jammed, so Ive already called them speckles. They are approximately 1/4th the size of a pixel or less. If I good enough on a black background, I can actually has about 200 of them in full screen – some are brighter than others, and about 5 of them or so can be seen on a colored background, depending on how hard I look (The like what I see when I look at the stars) This is my first LCD .
so I wonder if this is normal. I can clearly see that I have pasted a black pixel, but the smaller green specks supposed to exist?
Thanks for any info:)

Re:The 1/3 stuck pixels are called sub-pixels for short.
It should work perfectly the first time, as well as afterwards. I looks like you got a really faulty panel.

Re:Thanks for the info guys. I guess it looks like I got a lot of 1/3 stuck pixels
Also, is there any sort of burn-in time needed for LCD monitors, or should they just work perfectly immediately. I've noticed today that another big bright green pixel got stuck in the upper-left, but went away after a while..

Re:The colored ones are sub pixel, they represent 1/3 of the full pixel.
You should RMA this baby pronto. That is a shame and a… shame. Dead pixels are not normal, or at least that amount isn't.
