Internet Explorer problems associated [cisco 678] [internet explorer]

Q: I am running XP with a DSL connected to my computer via a LAN ( router, switch 100 mps) 0.

now will not connect, and usually think Im offline. When I try to use it, it starts raising that prompt for a dial connection.

However Netscape good, and do Yahoo, AOLIM, Morpheus, WeatherBug, etc.

I use AOL over TCPIP “bring your own Connection” and also works.
However the explorer often begins to work when Im online with AOL, but when I get off aol then it may not work.

Also me get Explorer to connect, but then a few minutes later stops and allows dial-up Prompt again.

HELP

Best Answer: Start , select tools/options and select the connection tab. Ensure always dial my default connection is selected. (also, make sure your dialup connection is set to default)

Re:good to hear that its working…i had heard that there was some problem with morpheousl..you might look around about the post and aditionaly you might check the settings on morpheous to make sure they are correct.

Re:Yeah I tried that to. It seems to be working fine now. I dont know if Morpheus was possibly causing problems but I do not have it running in the background right now

Re:Goto Internet Options than goto the Connections Tab. On the Connections tab click set up and run through the wizard to setup for a LAN.

Re:I did that but then it keeps changing the dial up setting back to where it will use them.

Sometimes when I have it go try to automatically get the settings it works for a bit…

Re:Have you set up your IE so it does not dial out….goto to the properties for IE and than goto connections and make sure that it is set up so it does not dial out…….and than click lan settings and click auto detect…that might work….
