I’ve always wanted to get into DJing. I even went as far as to purchase a beginners DJ system a year ago with two turn tables, mixer, the works but never got around to learning how to use it. Lets face it, learning to mix and flip records is no walk in the park. It’s an art form that requires all the space and time that most art forms demand if you want to produce quality work. Then I heard that one could also learn to mix via the computer. So I went online and found some products from very creditable companies, ranging in price from as little as $100 and as high as $2000. Then I saw this little device and decided to give it a test spin. It was cheap, didn’t look too complex and a few reviews said that it was a good start-up piece. All I have to say is wow! I downloaded the software and was mixing my favorite tunes in 10 minutes. I kid you not! I haven’t even gotten around to using the mixing device yet … The software alone has been awesome. I don’t know a lot about DJ tools and all the ends and outs that come with that trade but I will say this: For the money, this is an easy and fun product. I’m a beginner at mixing and I’m enjoying myself. Did and 80 minute mix for my girlfriend and she was like: Nice! Whenever I decide to pull out my more expensive turn tables and mixer I’m sure I’ll know a lot more about the art of mixing because of the MixMeister Express.
