Q: When I download the patch, and use Blizzard updater, it always crashes. I downloaded from the main site. Is there anyway I can manually patch Warcraft III?
Re:I believe all the relevant patch data is saved a file called War3Patch.mpq (not sure if EVERYTHING is on it though) – i can send it to you if you want, drop me an email. It'd just be a matter of replacing the file by my reckoning.

Re:I told you, if you would read my post, you would see I have tried it 3 times.
Re:Instead of always bumping why don't you just reinstall the game, and reapply the patch?
Re:Ok, I actually got it to start. It didn't crash. And now I get this:
It says I can't find the version matching 'checksum' or something. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it 3 times! It still doesn't work. Is there anyway I can find the files that were patched in 1.04a on the net, or have it sent to me. I spent $60 good dollars on this, and I want to be able to play B.net.
Re:Hex Editor? How would that work?
And, I thought it updates the maps, and everything else? Or is it just the EXE?
Re:hex editor.
It'd probably be easier to get the patched executable from someone else who has it, though.
