Q: . and buffering every 4 seconds, but a kind of ruins. Is there any way at all, or a program that allows, or should I look for somewhere a MPG or RM file somwhere /?

Re:The Ethereal packet sniffer and getasfstream works good for me. RTSP and MMS supported. You do know you need a packet sniffer to get the URL the RTSP PLAY command issues, right? If you need further help with the packet sniffer or getting the URL, let me know. Sometimes right clicking the windows media player embedded object, selecting properties, and getting the URL from there works. If it's just one or two media files you need I'd be happy to get the RTSP URL for you, providing they even use RTSP.

Re:look for asf2mkv on sourceforge. i think it's part of the guliverkli project.
edit: you can also get an mkv splitter as part of guliverkli that will allow you to play mkv files. alternately, you can look for virtualdubmod and use it to convert the mkv file into an avi file.
Re:CoCSoft Stream Down (http://www.cocsoft.com/) will do it but it's not free. There may be a free solution that I'm not aware of.
