Is there a way to get a program to insure completley removed? [registry entries]

Q: Most programs leave , files, etc. I know I can go and manually delete everything, but is there a good utility that will clean up for me?

No one should be without Norton System Works. That's the easiest way to keep things up to snuff. Oh – there is one other way – and I have done it many times – do a manual Registry scrub.

A this point however, I don't really want norton software on my PC. It has left a bad taste in my mouth.

After you uninstall, and then physically delete all residue in the program's folder, including the folder, run Norton WinDoctr and it will take care of all the errant .

Spybot has a wiper built into it's tools section.

What happened? Homeland security catching onto your international spy ring? :P

Are you talking about the shredder? that would have me choose specific files… I need something that erases all instances of a program

Oh, ok. Sorry. I was referring to the shredder. In that case, you're probably best off using jv16, as is can do a lot of registry stuff.

I was just looking at Jv16. Ill have to play with it more later. Not very intuitive. They better work on the interface if they want people to start paying for it. It's not freeware anymore.

Anyway.. nothing autmotic in there either. I might as well just search the registry myselg :P bleh

lol… no I just uinstalled norton anti-virus and I want to make sure it's gone for good. I had a discussion with one of their software architects here in the forum and I now realize that they seem to have a "Symantec knows best" attitude and I don't want a trzce of their stuff left on my system.
