Q: Hi, I do something stupid . Indeed it did, I bought a card (Radeon LE) before I checked fit.
Do I would buy a new motherboard for it to work or is there an adapter type thing that I can get cheaper?

Re:well i heard agp cards fit in pci slots if you ram them in backards and really push hard. That would destroy the mobo though so don't try. Seriousely an agp to pci adapter is not possible(at least not at a reasonable price anyways)

Re:I really doubt it, I haven't heard of any such adapter. I don't think it's technically feasible. Among many other things, the clock speed of agp and pci are very different and even if you could put an agp card into a pci slot, there should be serious problems with the video drivers.
