Q: I work for a company that sells tablet computers. I take care of the repairs and updates to the client machines. Occasionally we get an older tablet that SP1 or older.
I know there is a full blown SP2 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5Au0026displaylang=en), but the date was 8 / 10 / 04. There are a lot of updates since then.
What I want is an all in one download that I could relate to a flash drive. Something that repetative download SP2 and later updates will eliminate. I would even welcome a deal two parts that I can put on a flash drive
Does is it?
Best Answer: no computer is safe without sp2.also you cant get any updates if you dont have it.try going into safe mode and reinstall there

I think you can slipstream the updates into the full SP2 installer. Tedious, but worthwhile once it's done.
Yes. I believe most of the post-service pack 2 updates have the support for the "/integrate" switch to be used with the executable.

The service packs do not change (new updates do not get added to them). You can either install SP2 and than pull new updates off WU/AU or do as was suggested and download them all manually.
If you've got internet connectivity I would just pull them off WU, it would be much easier…

Re:That's the right one. For the additional updates, I suggest getting the #'s from them, and then searching for "XXXX network install" or "XXXX network installation". I did this for a bunch when I was slipstreaming XP. Pretty useful.
