Just finished editing Windows Movie Maker film [windows movie maker]

Q: Do I need to convert the files to something else?
Ive photbucket tried, but it said error-file type not allowed.

Do all sites accept WMM files?

suggestions?

Best Answer: Open , and Highlight your file on the collections list, click "save movie" on the top toolbar… (DO NOT CLICK FILE> SAVE AS… this will only save it again as MSWMM file)… once u have clicked Save Movie, a box will appear… click OK, and it will download files off the net to convert to a WMV file automatically.

Re:Just wait for it to process. Can take quite some time sometimes.

Basicly the servers have to reconvert it into a lower bitrate. That takes server processor power. It may be quoued or they may just give your file a small amount of processing at a time. Just be patient.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Qysn4s5TWc

I uploaded the video, but its been saying processing please wait for half an hour.
Same deal for putfile.

Wtf?!!!
how big is the file and how fast is your upload speed? if it's too big and your upload is too slow it could take a very long time.

It's less then 18 mbs. I'm running high speed internet.
I converted the file to mpg (is that mpeg?) and uploaded it, but it's still processing.

How do I get this mother f**king thing to work?!!

Re:I've been editing this video since 3 am, I want it posted!

Now, how do I convert the files? None of the options list mpeg or WMV. It automaticly saves in in a WMP format.
They list speed and size options (i.e high quality, broadband, 218kb etc..)

What do I need to do in order to get this submitted into youtube??

What the f**k man.

I just want to save it in a standard format that youtube.com or putfile will accept. 100 mb is the limit, and an NTSC file has over 1,000 mb.

COME ON PLEASE!!!!

I need this by today!!!!

What do you need this posted so quickly for? Are the FED after you?!?!

Re:then use Video For Broadband instead of DV-AVI (any otpion…it tells you the files size…get the best option until its under the 100mb limit)

What the F**K!!!

I uploaded it to putfile and youtube but it won't get out of the uploading stage!!! It's in WMP format, the only available format WMM gives me. Unless there is a different way.

Can I please get some help?!!?!
You can Save As and choose another format (don't have WMM in front of me) under Other or something like that down that list. You could put it in something like DV-AVI and use about a billion different converters to get it to any other format. Note the DV-AVI is 13GB/hr of video, so it will be bigger than you expect in that middle format.

Re:Ok I figured it out thank you so much.

I uploaded it to Youtube.com, and it listed the movie as uploaded (processing please wait). It's been like that for more then 10 mins.
Is this normal???

well wmm is a movie project not an actual video file….

so you go to "SAVe Movie" and go through the steps use save on computer. Choose a format based on other settings that is like video for broadband or DV-AVI

How the hell do I change the file? What steps are you friggin talking about?!!!

I need a detailed guide please.

Open the WMM project file in .

Go to File / Save Movie.

Follow the steps shown in the wizard to save your movie in a valid format. The file that is generated can be uploaded to YouTube.

I think both Youtube and Google Video do (cannot verify as blocked at work). Remember that if you post it at those sites, you are giving away your rights to it though.

Both of those sites use flash embedded video with no other option for the user. Please dont use either of those sites.
