Re:Nah, you don't need registered memory. I use a pair of 256MB PC2100 Crucial unbuffered non-ECC's in my K7N420 Pro righ.

Re:When choosing memory for nForce you need to follow 2 rules:
1. Use 2 identically sized, identical make sticks of DDR
2. Put them in slots 1 and 2 with the latest BIOS
Any big name memory should work fine as long as you follow those 2 rules.
