Looking for a really good high-end photo / movie editing software. [adobe photoshop elements] [adobe premiere elements]

Q: Ive looked around and as far as the eye of 3.0 plus . Everybody knows something better? I am willing to spend a little money, to $ 500. Thanks everyone! ;)

Re:Here is something else to consider. You can get the Matrox RT.X10 realtime video accelerator for $650… and it includes Premiere Pro, Encore and Audition in the box!

A realtime accelerator card processes all the video data in realtime, so you can edit and be ready to burn a DVD without having to wait hours for it to render. Plus you can preview on a TV, it includes an analog breakout box, and lots of other features too… picture in picture, transparency, many layers of effects, etc. The hardware card enhances everything that the software can do.

So, for a little more than the cost of the software alone, you can get realtime hardware and all that great Adobe software in one package.

Re:Thanks everyone, I'll check on vegas. I did come across avid xpress they have a $200 rebate right now that will bring the cost down to $500, its not the pro but I think it will do unless vegas looks better. Again, thanks! :)

Re:Vegas is excellent…I use it along with DVD Architect for all my DVD creation. For photo editing I use Photoshop 7 for most things (C1 Pro for RAW conversion, and a few others for various things)

Re:vegas is awsome, definetly my favorite and I have used both premier and avid system (not much though)

Re:Avid…. nice (but not in your budget).

Re:500 won't get you high end, premiere and avid are both above that.

Re:You might try out Vegas 5.

If I had extra money $500+ to spend I would look a lot closer at it.

I have been watching the Sony Sonic Blast Product and it seems as if Sony bought out the Vegas Product Line to get some upgraded features for its basic product line.
