Configure for Auto-Logon

If you are the only person using the computer and what to have it automatically log you on,

1. Start / Run / "control userpasswords2" – no quotes
2. Uncheck User must enter a user name and password to use this computer

I didn't test it but I found it here http://www.onecomputerguy.com/windowsxp_…

Re:Sometime setting it to windows logon works found a few situations where you had to delete the *.pol file or install microsoft family logon service in the network icon in the control panel.

Re:Nevermind, I just unchecked it in the system.ini tab in msconfig.

Re:Hey guy. Nice to hear from you again. I'm assuming in control panel – passwords where I swear I had the ability to change the password before, I now only see "Users profiles" with no choice to change password. Sorry, but what am I missing?

Re:If it's the network password, right click on network places, then select windows logon.

Re:Or, TweakUI from the win98 install disk.

Re:Change your password to a blank password, click OK, and you won't be prompted after that. (Win9x, that is)
