Q: Update: It seems that this happens when my CPU is under load. If not, it does not lock up my system. I do not get it .
So, I upgraded the motherboard monitor 5.3.7. One day I noticed it was not loading at startup, so I started it up, and hard locked my computer. Then I rebooted and tried again. Same. Then I tried CPU-Z after a restart. That worked fine, but when I closed it and ran it again, my machine still locks up.
After all this, I have a clean reinstall winxp and installed MBM again. I still have the same problem! I have no idea what to do, but I would rather not reinstall Windows. It seems the MBMs configuration file for my mobo is not correct, but I do not know why it would screw up other programs that interface with the hardware sensors (such as cpu-z).
Anybody have any ideas? Rig in sig.
Thanks,
the fox.
Re:seems like your computer just isnt compatible with MBM5. but, i thought that mobo was supported, but i could be wrong.
Re:Yea, I'll do that. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to reverse the damage now though? Mbm5 appears to have caused other monitoring software to have the same problem. i.e. other programs work fine until I install mbm, and after that they all lock up my pc. I could always reinstall again, but that's a bit of a pain.
thanks,
dave
Re:MBM is no longer being updated(for quite a time now),I suggest you try Speedfan.
