Q: I need desperate help.
I m running an AMD 800 T-Bird Abit KT7 raid on a .
I the computer ran perfectly on WinME .
Than my brother a DNS server installed programs . . called Simple DNS. I do not know exactly what he did . but when I turned on the computer, it gave me a message on the computer was unstable and I Neede to make the system restore or reinstall completely.
there is an error .
VxD Dynamic Link Call: RMQUASAR (01) + 000362AE to u0026quot 0048; u0026quot; service 1
and it asks me if I want to load Windows . advising me not to go because it will go unstable. If I click yes it has a bug in MSGSRV32 Devcon.dll . msgsrv will close . freezes.
I and the system can go into safe mode . but I do not know what the problem is.
I program completely removed . and I have the components of the system and there seems not a bug.
Anyone has no idea what this stuff is all about? I just want my computer

Re:Thanx…ME restore did it's job and its running again. And by the way I demolished my brother…hahaha j/k.
We have to build him a secondary dns server…dang here I go on a computer search again.
oh by the way his web hosting company is www.webcanny.com
Really cheap and reliable hosting.
Re:"My brother Totally demolished my perfect system.~!~! "
Do what I do to my brother…..demolish him!
Good info badthad!
Re:OK…what it did is mess with your networking settings. Here is where the program comes from: Simple DNS (http://www.jhsoft.com/) It creates a DNS (Domain Name Server) server on your local PC. Basically, it will mess with all your networking settings.
Didn't you just run an ME restore? It should fix the problem as long as you pick a restore point before the software was installed.
If you don't do that…the first thing to do is run MSCONFIG and make sure it's not running anything at startup. Uncheck anything you see that you don't need from startup and reboot. Keep your fingers crossed that the problem is gone.
If it persists, to fix the problem, you may try removing (delete) all your networking protocols. Right click network neiborhood (NN) icon and select properties. Under protocols, delete all the protocols you see listed and reboot.
When you get back, right click NN again>properties. It will probably tell you "NO networking is installed. Do you wish to install?". Select yes.
Are you using a modem or NIC with cable or DSL?
If your using a modem, you will have to add the "dial up adapter", if not, forget that.
Go to "add protocol">microsoft>TCP/IP. Set the TCP/IP properties for your specific ISP.
Good Luck!
(the ME restore feature should fix this problem)
