My monitor is fading (need suggestions) [finger on the button] [greenish color]

Q: I have a Samsung SyncMaster 1200NF-they are connected through the use of BNC connectors, it looked nice when I first (only about 5 months ago) 0.

Recently I saw the left of the screen fade to a light -bought Ive tried to degauss. Now it does get rid of the green garlic, but it only happens for about as long as my to keep . Then go back to that ugly green color.

i already tried to contact technical support to see what they say, but that is a bit of a hassle and I want to first see if anyone has any suggestions before I go on and do what they told me no one has a suggestion or do.

If maybe you should let me know more info. I want everything to you trying to where it needs to set (which is really far away)

Re:Usually as a monitor is dying because its gun is dying. You can pump up all the colors or just the non-green colors and try to compensate for it. Bottom line is a monitor starts giving you that kind of trouble I would try and swap cables, still having problems don't take any crap from it and make sure you can get it replaced.

Re:I've never used a monitor with BNC connectors, but is it possible that it's the cables and not the monitor? Perhaps try moving the cables around to see if that effects the picture.

Re:I understand things change over time, but when I had my SyncMaster 19" (don't remember which model anymore) and the colors started going all weird on me, they delivered a warranty replacement right to my door. They actually carried it inside, set it up and boxed the old one before they took it away.

I was truly impressed. Guess that's all in the past.

Sorry, I know this is no help with your specific problem.

Re:Hey guy,
All electrical devices put off a certain amount of magnetic feild due to current running through the wires. If you have anything next to the monitor…ie. speakers, cable modem….yada yada….try moving them away from the monitor and deagusing to see if that relieves the problem. If nothing else works, try moving the monitor to the kitchen table over night and see if the problem clears. If it does not clear you may have to go through the hassle of finding what your warranty covers. You may be intitled to a free replacement or at least a refund of repair charges.
