Q: I even use my cacheman v4.0 disk cache to optimize my sources and still means the user is drastically reduced after I close all my current tasks, compared to when I boot my PC. Are sometimes less than half what it was when I first started, such as less than 40%, although I like some tasks . How do I fix this?
Re:this extract (http://members.aol.com/axcel216/me1.htm#10WOT) may help with your problem!
Re:you can turn most of that off and make your own
restore points without it being on all the
time.
pchealth off
mstask off
restore off
Re:i run ME and know exactly what is running in the background. I want to run the Sys Restore files cuz it has saved me from reinstalling my OS several times. Then there is the usual pchealth and mstask, loadpowerprofile etc. I run three apps in systray: Norton antivirus 2001 (navapw32 and poproxy), memturbo and cacheman. thats it.
Re:what OS are you using? :frown:
have you tried stopping unecessary programs from loading in msconfig?
knowing what's running in the background is essential for troubleshooting!
Re:Find out what program is doing it and stop running it. For me it was Get Right which was also the cause of major browser crashes.
