Q: I accidentally deleted an identity in Outlook Express, lost a lot of old e-mails that I needed. Is there anyway to recover?
I Win98SE.
Thanks am actively advance.
Best Answer: 1. Other application/s in your PC may have cause similar problem, cause it is eating your system resources.
Try to close other apps then try it again.
2.Your outlook may have a bug result of a bad install or bad software design. Go to their website and look for a patch.
3. How old is your PC? If you're on minimum required by software, good luck.

Re:That's cool, I found the old files with helps from a friend.

He just told me to do a search on one of the file name that I deleted by accident and BAMN there it is, everything is under C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\(Deleted identity name). I just copy and paste to the current outlook folder and everything is back to the way it was
Thank you guy for providing the identity folder to me.

Re:I don't have a folder named exactly as you mentioned.
LOL, LMAO – sorry it's always random – I just typed a bunch of gibberish hoping you'd realize I just meant whatever that folder's called.
So – the one folder that has stuff in it. Has all your folders from OE ?
does the 2nd account have different folders ?
it sounds to me – like deleting that account erased everything in the 2nd folder
sorry I couldn't be more help.

Re:Thank for your reply, jointT.
I don't have a folder named exactly as you mentioned. I do have {392DD805-1C77-11D6-BAC4-00045A5939B4}, in which it has Microsoft\Outlook Express and all my current folders I have in Outlook Express.
And I have another folder named {F68CD0E0-8647-11D3-BAA4-00105A839A91} with nothing in it (0 byte).
Any other suggestion? Please help…………..
