Q: I have a computer here that I need email to go out another router. Currently, half of the computers to a router, the other half the other. Is there something in XP Professional that I want another router to use only one ip? The router at this time to go is a Cisco or something like that I have no idea how it works. Im sure if I knew how it actually works, I just forward to the Other router, but I do not think, so I wonder if it is possible to do on the OS?
Thanks
Best Answer: You have had some bad luck here, I've never used belkin so I cant comment. I had a dlink which worked great until it broke and I have had mixed results with Lynksys.
To be honest I'm not sure there is a really good comercial router out there. I believe many people have been hacking Linksys routers to pur new firmware on them known as open WRT. This is supposed to be very good and is my next project to try to find reliable stable internet access.

Re:Set up a routing table,
I route my mail out though my one router, but all other trafic goes out the normal gateway
Eg
route -p ADD xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx MASK 255.255.255.255 gateway_to_use
In my network, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is my ISP's smtpserver, so I can send mail to that server, my gateway_to_use is the router connected to my ISP.

Is there some reason why you can't just give that one machine a different default gateway?
It needs to go out the one gateway for one of the programs.

Your post isn't too clear. You want one computer to send everything out a different router ? Set that router's ip as the defualt gateway. Of course this means you can't use DHCP.
