Q: Hey dudes, old school

My has fart on me, and I have a new sound card. It would offer 4.1 (my never worked with 4.1 for some reason, never worked on the digital output) 0.

It can not be either too expensive . So somewhere between 100 and 200 bucks.

I use an old Sound Blaster Live 4.1 Digital card. I'm sure the 5.1 version you could also get. When I got it, it was $20 at Office Depot. Im sure you could get the 5.1 version for that now. The 4.1 Digital I have works great with my Altec Lansing 4.1 speaker set and supports EAX.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with my , that being said I was never really able to figure out where to put the 3 plugs in as I lost the manuals for both my sound card and speakers.

3? My Altec Lansing plugs were just 2. One left and right front and the other left and right rear. A crossover in the sub extracted the bass frequencies. I know once in a while the subs sometines are programmed to the mic port. But you have to program it in the driver to do so.
