NTBACKUP=already PAID for with purchase of Server Software

Probably as good as a $299 software package.

I used the backup util in windows 2003 and it works great manually but it is not automated , how do you do that with it, or are you refering to running it in windows scheduler?

there should be an option to schedule the backup when you specify what you want to backup in the built-in solution

Didn't see anything, do you know that it is there? If so where?

Advanced Backup Options at end of wizard, "select the type of backup". Choose daily.

Re:What exactly are you buying for $299 from Dantz. I see the single server for 427.77, but the upgrade for 217.20. That's cheap for Enterprise level software since you're installing it on Win2003 Server.

dantz retrospect comes with the Maxtor external drives. I would just the built in backup software if there are no open files.

Yes but the version of Dantz that comes with the maxtor drives only runs on client Os's it does not run on servers such as 2003
