Netgear's Power 814 LEDs are orange. [default setup] [firmware]

Q: I can not seem to connect to the router, nor can I ping. Ive tried resetting and even offed and the weather, but to no avail. I think someone has my flashed with other if I had my router on the last night. I put the set one day before and just power it on the last night before I went out and Im not sure if my wireless setup is stored or the Netgear is used, so users are able to out my list of prohibited used my router.

Is there anything I can do? I can not access the router.

Your router=dead. Maybe it still works as a switch?

It works as a switch. I'm definite of that. LOL

Time to call Netegar to get a replacement.

If it has a different installed you are sunk. Next time make sure only you know the router access password so this doesn't happen again.

Problem is, I don't know if the power cycle had reset everything back to default wher ethe password is just password. I was not aware of it. There was a thunderstorm the night before and I just off the whole thing. I turned it on later and went out.

I can't access the router at all. 192.168.0.1 can't be found. :(

Are you getting an ip? If not, have you tried setting up a static IP for your computer that is within the ip range of your router. Then try your router's web config.

Re:Sounds like it's kaput. I doubt somebody logged in and flashed it with the wrong fw, it probably just died. Happens all the time with SOHO routers. Toss it and buy another.
