New AMD 64 build will not post, makes a nice paperweight . [amd athlon 64] [amd athlon 64 3200]

Q: I built my first computer last night, but everything I? Have so far been an expensive paperweight. Here are the specs:

Antec Performance Plus Server Case 430W True Power with Power Supply, Model “PLUS1080AMG”
Albatron K8X800 ProII Motherboard with Chipset
AMD K8T800 Athlon 64 3200 + 3500 Processor
1GB Mushkin Level One Memory (512MB x 2) 160GB 7200RPM SATA
Seagate Hard Drive Model ST3160023AS
ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder Pro video card, 128MB
Lite-On CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive
MSI DVD-ROM disk drive
Sony drive

When I plug it into a red LED lights on the MB. When I press the power button on the case fans, CPU fan and the GS video card fan start, but there is no beep at all, and the monitor does not receive a video signal.

I? ve Installed the memory card, video card, and all plugs. I? I unplugged everything except the CPU / HS, memory and video card. I still get exactly the same result. I know? T other parts that I can change, nor do I have another computer that I can use my current components.

Help check! Any leads?

Re:HappyPuppy and guy – Thanks for the suggestions. I followed them all, but still had the same issue. I was staring at the MB deciding where I would put the bullet when I noticed that the 12v power cable wasn't connected. DOH! That's OK, I don't mind being stupid as long as I get the problem fixed.

This system should be a nice upgrade from my P2 350 rig, wouldn't you say?

Thanks again for the help.

Re:Try resetting the BIOS before pulling it from the case. I have had this happen to me many times with new boards. Unplug the AC power, pull the battery and move the BIOS jumper to the short position briefly, put the battery back in, put the jumper back into the proper position and then plug the power cord back in. Try it again. If that don't work, try HappyPuppy's suggestion. Welcome to the AT forums by the way!!! :D GOOD LUCK!!!!
