Q: Hi . I threw together a system consisting of: SY-
soyo D6IBA dual proc main board
2 celery X-366 at 550 u003e Tekram slockets with chrome orbs
matrox G200 vid card
smc 10/100 10/100 nic
3com nic
sb16 sound card
3 X ide harddrives
8x cdrom
all this (plus 3 case fans) are powered by a 235 watt Sparkle Power supply
the strange is that I can install win2k and win9x fine, just install linux!
the CPUs 550 fine (she was in previos systems) and all other components were part of my linux box before (aka work in Linux)
can someone help me!?

Best Answer: it's most probably because of the power supply,try replacing your SMPS
Re:ever since i had trouble at 550 i have tried every successive install at 366. i still have no idea whats going on.

no error messege..the install simply hangs..mouse stops responding, no harddrive noise..no progress
please help me!! :frown:
