Q: Please note that Ive tried using Driver Cleaner and then do fresh install. I also installed new onboard sound (SoundMAX) driver to no avail. I have no idea what to do.
Basically in CS: S, the only game Ive tried, the sound behind the video. By like 1-2 seconds. This happened after I X800XL on my old 9600XT. As I said, I tried doing a fresh again with Cat 5.8, but it has not a thing. Can anyone help me please?
Re:Screw around with VSync or triple buffering? Also try every combo of sound settings.
Re:Two threads…. Try disabling EAX for the sound card, if it's even an option (I don't remember), and estting sound quality to low.
Re:Valve forums have many threads about sound lag etc. Funny thing is with my 9700pro, lagging sound with uneven frame rates were an issue at certain settings – seemed to change with each update. Just put in an x800xt pe and absolutly no issues. Something in the source sound engine is very picky.
