Q: I have a custom built PC:
Abit IC7-G
P4 3.0
Nvidia Geforce 6600 256mb
36GB Raptors
2GB Ram
my computer was running fine until last night (it felt weird as it can “stabbing” for a moment or two . )
this morning, turned right, down right,
this afternoon, in turn, closed, all sounds ok, but no beeps, no picture, no HD LED blinking either.
tried graphics cards in other systems work, a
tried old PCI (not AGP) graphics cards, no video .
totally clueless now pls help. have a lot of other things to do this week.
Re:well, something else to consider is that the P4T is an older RAMBUS based mainboard, and as such won't likely support later revisions of the P4, such as a 3.0. The later model 3.0 is likely a Prescott core that won't work on the P4T either, so unless you are sure one board supports a later CPU, you really haven't eliminated either component as the source of your trouble.
Re:Quick question … are you using the same PSU for all your parts testing? If so, try a different power supply before buying new hardware.
If you're dropping the cpu into a completely different, known working system with a different PSU, then disregard.

using P4 from an old board Asus P4T on IC7 and vice versa should not damage anything right?

Re:At least your CPU is dead, it's also likely that the motherboard is dead.

Kept only MB, Video, CPU and RAM,
swapped each of the ram individually, No Good.
Tried the CPU from this on another P4 motherboard, No Good.
Tried other CPU on this motherboard, No Good.
what now?

Re:Pull everything out except CPU, RAM, Video card and Motherboard. Start with one stick of RAM, if it doesn't boot, try the other. If you do not get any beep codes or POST, it's either a dead motherboard or dead processor.
