off the wall: dual nic set. [time drag] [drag files]

Q: I have a computer with a dual 10/100 NICs. I had originally set for sharing internet, but I know more about a broadband connection. I have two other computers on the network, and was wondering if I could assign one NIC to each of the computers. For example, if I move files from the server to a computer – a network will be used at the 100mb connection. At the same time, drag the files to another computer using the other NIC – again using the full 100 MB connection. Does anyone know if this is possible? All OSs are Win2k Pro.

Re:i've never ever heard of two workgroups in win2k, don't think it's possible.

i run a dual port NIC and have both a WAN and LAN set up. i can surf the 'net through the WAN interface while sharing stuff over the LAN.

you should be able to do the same

Put them in different subnets and I dont see why this would be a problem. Different subnets would make routing easier I think.
