Q: I was installing a wireless PCI card in my computer (Antec True Power 380W PS, Athlon 64 3200 +, Athlon 64 3200 +, ASUS K8V Deluxe, 2 x 512MB PC3200 OCZ Platinum EL) with the power cable when all the sudden the fans turned on for about half a second. I immediately got the dreaded electrical burning smell smoke. Now, I was not even touching anything but the screwdriver at the time – turning the screw – and I myself on the first floor. So I doubt if it was me.

Q: OK, heres the deal .
Ive is seeking a fairly comprehensive laptop to take on frequent business travelers. I usually do Office (Word / PowerPoint), email, web and a few misc things (light Photoshop when I need to edit photos for a PowerPoint, etc.), while on the road. Certainly not high-powered stuff 3GHz, but Im not in the mood to fight with either a Celeron. I also have a CDRW. DVD / CDRW combo drive would be nice to watch movies on the plane, etc.

Q: I would like to start putting my DVD collection on my HTPC and Im looking for some advice. I currently use DVD Decrypter to rip and DVD Shrink to compress. What I would like to do is be able to play DVDs on my hd without ISOs or load several files to mount (such as VIDEO_TS folders). Is there a way to do this? My goal is to be able to open my DVD library, but my HTPC front-end, which will probably be myHTPC, I have not decided yet. So having to mount such things difficult.

Q: Just built my machine for the first time, and if I start a posting or w / e, I press F1 for her to continue. How can I make so I do not need? I checked all BIOS and I couldnt find a way to turn it off

Q: two computers connected via router. Win2k on a PC and was able to connect before I formatted the hard drive on the WinXP Pro WinXP pc.
Formatted pc
reinstalled fine (which I use the computer name and workgroup name Boba FETT set)
setup Windows Networking Wizard (Windows told they connect to a router where other PCs as well)
disabled WinXP firewall
checked win2k settings (PC name and workgroup name JENGO FETT)

Q: Accessing email through my own site
So I have my website, and a few e-mail addresses courtesy of GoDaddy, but I hate their default webmail page (I do not like using Outlook or Thunderbird for those who would suggest that place), so I would like my own (or more likely to make adapt someone else to fit my style) page on my website where I can log in and check my mail.
