Q: Hi,
I are dual-booting Linux and Windows 2k for a while. I have a boot floppy to use my linux side, but I want the Windows boot loader to boot linux, I read that I need to install Linux in the first sector of my Linux partition, but I have not Install LILO in the Linux partition when I install Linux. Q: Is there any advantage to using Direct3D to accelerate a game, as opposed to OpenGL? Is it easier? cheaper?
The reason I ask is, I just downloaded the demo of Venom. It seems a great first person shooter, except for the Direct3D not OpenGL.
I have a 64MB GeForce DDR CL (225/380) (latest drivers) PII450, and 384 MB of system RAM. Enough for a game I would think to handle. However, Venom slows considerably with 1024×768x16. Its too annoying to play with all that inertia.
