Q: These guys Dell computer does not seem to want to run Word 2000. He has Windows 98SE. Word just hangs when it gets to the home screen, but stops and exits your computer. I wanted to try to resolve the problem without reformatting and reinstalling Windows. Heres what I tried:
1. Reinstalling Works Suite (including word)
2. Opening in Safe Mode
3. Windows Update (He is up to date) 9,775,034. Have a Dell recovery, but not the one who formats the hard drive.
