PC's, and MB buzzer sounds continuously [tv sitcom] [pc speaker]

Q: Hi!

Any ideas on this one?

The PC worked fine for months, but now it sometimes hangs – and when that happens, the screen is dark and the MBs gives a continuous buzzing tone.

And, when I rap the side of the case properly , suddenly works again (like something from a ) 0.

The first can happen in the morning when it starts, or else right in the middle of used.

I seeks re-inserting the CPU, RAM , the PCI and graphics cards, IDE cables, but thats not the problem. I swapped the power supply for a new, but that is not to determine the problem.

It s system is not listed below, but instead is a simpler system with a Duron 800, Chaintech Socket A mobo, ATI Radeon 7500, Maxtor and 20GB HD.

Re:The capacitors don't look abnormal (no bulging).

And I don't think that they would then work if the PC is rapped.

Re:I believe that all of the Chaintech Socket A motherboards
used the defective Capacitors. You may want to visually
inspect the board itself.

Re:I just tried looking at the MB while it was having the problem (ie running it without the case sides) and the CPU fan is turning while the PC was hanging, so that is not the problem (although it was a good thought!).

I'll try running the tower on the side and will check the MB screws.

Re:Also, try running the parts on a table, outside of the case. If it still does it, then it probably isn't a case grounding problem.

You could also try running the case on it's side, assuming it's a tower. Just in case gravity is causing something to lean to one side and cause a loose connection.

Re:Sounds to me like a bad connection somewhere. Maybe in one of the pci or agp slots? Check if any cards or anything is loose. Maybe make sure all the mobo mounts/screws are in place as well.

Re:you try swapping out the CPU fan? it may be on its last leg.
