Q: I have a good thing that there is a pretty good amount of space for about 100 to $ 120, I was thinking of the Antec Super lanboy has, I plan to overclock, so some 120MM fans should be good. I will be getting individual parts at a time, but first I have a case. I was thinking of the Antec P180, but i dont like how thin the door, it seems quite cheap at Frys when I probed. I was also thinking of the Thermaltake Tsunami. What do you suggest running for around this price range?
Best Answer: The smilodon is a nice case, but the cooler master 690 case is in my opinion a much better option in your price range. It has better cable management capabilities, potential for serious airflow with the amount of fan slots it has,and doesn't hurt to look at either. If you have an nvidia video card, there is a nvidia edition of the 690 with green led fans, green highlights on the top panel of the case, and a green acrylic side window. The stock fans are fairly quiet, and should be enough airflow without any upgrades, but you will have the option of adding more fans.

Re:The newer models of the P180 has improved the door. Instead of being Al/plastic, it is now al/plastic/al. Unlike the older model, the magnet actually keeps the door shut. The old model didn't have metal next to the magnet, the new one does.

Re:The new Kingwin 523 is a nice case for the money and has 120mm mounts f/r. Several of the CM Centurion line have 120 f/r. Many of the Tt in the 60-125$ range also have 120 f/r. If you are willing to do a bit of modding work on the cooling (if needed), the Beantech Igloo cases (same as the Kingwin 424) from directron.com are a ton of case for the money. Easily mistaken for Lian Li from the design to the build quality.
The only real negative on the Tsunami is that some find it to be a bit flimsy feeling.

I agree door was the killer for me when I checked it out at frys – it should have been a two door design with access only to a couple drives up top then if you really need it the bottom door. Either way really filmsy like a $20 case.
Otherwise the P180 is built like a tank- heavy 1mm sse steal to aid in barrier loading to supress sound. High frequency sound barriers with the composite panels. Wide open to modding with PSU on bottom like putting a tripple rad up top with 700 rpm silent fans.
SIGH
I'd have to recommend something like

or

Or really save $ in steel

All have 120mm rears – look good and are built well.

Re:Hey check out the best looking case thread lots of different cases descused in that thread. I have both a silverstone tj06 and thermaltake armour and for what it is worth I like the silverstone more for air cooling (it was made for it) and the thermaltake for water, they are both large and not badly priced for what you get. One thing to add the silverstone also wins in looks in my opinion the finish is much better than the black armour I can't speak of the silver one because they use different metal and finish.
Hope this helps
