When no power on I get a few clicks (normal) from my , and then nothing. No picture on screen, and no hard disk activity, and .

Based the way he died while I was surfing the net, I do not think it could be my , that would not cause a surf session just to stop my screen just go black (I think not) 0.

When was the motherboard, I would not beep or a little something to start, while attempts?

Dont even know where to start looking. Please help!

P.S. Addl evidence. I have a powerful PSUs the most expensive on the market. Have experienced failures in the recent past when trying to start my ATI video card is not properly connected to the PSU. Restart usuallyy fixed, but it was annoying, so I just connected to another video card 12v cord / cable and have not seen since the error.

Remo Drive Wipe
Re:Very strange. I just started disconnecting everything and trying to reboot. I even swapped the video card (I found an old ATI 8500) and no go.

Then I disconnected my hard drives, and I posted with a video signal (with the ATI 8500). So I figured it was one of my hard drives. But then I reconnected the hard drives, and it still booted fine. WTF?

Put my video card back in (ATI 9800Pro), no boot.

So it looks like my video card (ATI 9800Pro). However, I have no clue why I had to disconnect my hard drives to get the system to boot initially after I replaced the defective 9800Pro.

Re:Do you see the POST screen when the computer starts? If the died, you would probably still see the POST screen and see if the drive is detected by the BIOS.

Fans spinning up when you power on?

do you have a different video card to use for troubleshooting?

Does your monitor give you a solid green when you restart, or a blinking light?
