Q: Can someone please show me the proper steps to install Windows 2000 on a drive connected to an IDE ATA133 card that is larger than 127GB?

I would format that sucker below 160 gig once you get into the install………

Re:Yup, you'll need to slipstream SP3/SP4 into Win2K to allow it to see your full 160GB. And while this may seem obvious, make sure your motherboard IDE controller supports 48-bit LBA too.
Re:Win2k supports >137GB drives with Service Pack 3. Make a bootable CD with SP3 or SP4 ( http://www.bink.nu/Bootcd/default.htm ) integrated and setup should see the full capacity of your drive.
Re:I thought the original Windows 2000 Pro CD does not support disk greater than 127GB. I usually let the computer bood from CD & install Windows 2000. Don't I need to do something special?
Re:As long as you use NTFS it should see the whole drive without a problem. If you use FAT32, you'll run into the 128GB limit. I'd use NTFS anyway, it's a much better filesystem.
