Q: I am following the latest and greatest “Modern Combat Flight Simulator” that at the time. I would prefer modern aircraft like the F22, F18 and F14 etc, unlike WWI and WWII IL2 Sturmovik aircraft.
I, but fancy something a bit more modern. The equivalent of Commanche 4 If you are in terms of date and eye candy .
What there thats worth the money? ideal, “Lock-On – Modern Air Combat is what Im after, but its still out. (Wish I had applied to be a beta tester) 0.
who developed “Falcon 4″ and is the past? Mind you I can not seem to find it anywhere to buy at the moment. All I can seem to find on the shelves is MS Combat Flight Sim 2 or 3 etc.
Any ideas or pointers would be appreciated. (Oh, must be able to play online if possible), but not stuff like Novalogic F22 Lightning 3 (Looks naff) or whatever it is called.
Cheers ears, 977,503,977,503;)

IIRC, Falcon 4 came out in '98 (published by MicroProse?). It's a pain acquiring a copy. Best supply source would be fleabay or yahoo auctions.
I didn't realise it was that old, hense the reason I couldn't find it on their website.

I know I know, it looks sweet. I heard the beg/end of October '03 for a release.
Thank for the link guy. This sounds cool. I heard the manual is 3 inches thick… lol
Anyway, found a link for the demo, but it shows demo1 and demo2. I tried them both but I cant seem to get past the front screen, it just stops responding!!….Tried it in Win95 Compatibility Mode also with no joy. Running WinXp Pro, P4 3.0GHz, 1GHz RDRAM & GF4 4600….em….need to see this. I have a TFT monitor, does the game options let me play at 1280 x 1024? ![]()

You might also like Jane's F/A-18. Old like Falcon 4, but remains popular.
Flanker 2 can be found for $10 in the bargain bin at your local CompUSA. Very pretty, but has a smaller fan base than F4 or F/A-18.
